Christy's looks like your typical neighborhood joint with its tiny quaint tables and menus on the walls. Don't let this fool you into thinking that you can't fall in love with it. I can picture walking into this place from the cold, windows fogged up on the inside with warm steam and enjoying a simple, but unique, Vidalia Chicken wrap at $6.99. Other award winning selections to the menu make this worth the trip, such as the Texana pizza topped with grilled steak priced at $9.49 for a small. Salads start at $4.99, and the breakfast omelets look absolutely delish. They also have good coffee! Catering is also available. Cash only for now, and the prices are very reasonable. By the end of the year, the owner plans to install a credit card machine.

Unique ethnic restaurant with Spanish specialties, you won't find anything like it anywhere else in Charlestown (or most surrounding communities). This is the place to go for your pig feet ($6.95), mofongo ($5.95), and tripe soup ($5.95). They also serve basic and more familiar subs, salad, and burgers at a low price. However, if you want something completely different - like boiled green bananas for breakfast ($4.95) - then you have no choice but to come to his homey little neighborhood joint. The interior is sweet and quaint, with only a few tables. Seriously, stop by and visit this place. Where else are you going to get this kind of satisfying food at such a great price? Free delivery.

Neighborhood pizzeria restaurant. Friendly atmosphere, with tiny tables and a couple of arcade machines. They serve your basic grub, cheap and fast. You won't find anything fancy here, but you can be sure they cover the basic subs, sandwiches, calzones, and dinners. Absolutely nothing surprising, but the price is right. Delivery available from 3pm to closing.

Spacious cafe in a style reminiscent of Carberry's in Cambridge. A generous menu of yummy sandwiches will satisfy your need to nosh, as well as a beer and wine. Located in a plaza-type brick building on Chelsea Street off of New Rutherford Ave, you might miss it on your way into Charlestown. The pier is right behind the building, and Cold Stone Creamery next door. This is perfect for an afternoon experience, especially since it closes by 7pm in the winter. Wifi available.

It's hard to even guess that this place exists. Set back away from the main thoroughfare on Terminal Street at Charlestown Commerce Center, you really have to know the neighborhood or work right there to find it. Not only that, but it's hard to get to. The entrance is way up on a loading dock that you have to climb up on, which also serves as a kind of exit to one of the local businesses. What you'll discover is an incredibly small restaurant that serves breakfast, pizza, subs, and spanish food. They have a few tables in an outside seating area for warmer weather, and very little space to sit inside. Lowbrow but good. A great place to grab something and run, or you can have it delivered.
