This is your basic laundromat, with the option of coin-operated self service or wash/dry/fold. A tiny lady runs the place and keeps a close eye on everything, and boxes of detergent are stacked on the counter for sale. A small vending machine carries some drinks and snacks at the front.

Since 1893, the Charlestown Clubhouse has provided extensive extracurricular programs for the youth of Charlestown and its surrounding communities. Membership is open to kids ages 6 to 18. Really nice big meeting house for the Boy's and Girl's Club. Located on a safe, clean and quiet street, the entrance is well-lit in the evening. They have tons of engaging programs for the kids to do after school, and people who have grown up here remember their mentors. There have been some amazing people working here, who have impacted the lives of many. Education: It offers one-on-one tutoring, computer instruction, homework help, test preparation, enrichment activities, and newspaper and science clubs. Arts: Provides classes in visual arts such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and photography. Performing arts include music lessons and dance classes for children ten and up. Social Recreation: Children are offered a variety of fun activities and events. These include dances, peer leadership groups, and tournaments. Physical Education: It offers basketball and volleyball clinics, hockey and basketball leagues, and intramural sports. Child Care Program: School-age child-care program for children ages 6 to 10 is provided from 2:30pm-6pm during the school week and 8:00am-5:30pm during school and summer vacations. Massachusetts Association of Teachers of Speakers of Other Languages (MATSOL), located in the historic Schrafft's Center. An all-volunteer, research-based professional association advocating for the educational achievement of English language learners and the professional development of those who serve them.

Very similar to the old Knights of Columbus buildings that you see around the city, this venue is available for rental. This building has sadly been subject to neglect over the years, but Stanley Leonard's recent appointment to its board led to a new effort to rehabilitate the structure. It is currently undergoing restoration, and the hope is to bring in more vets and bring the building back to period. Located across from the public library on a sloping hill. Memorial Hall appears on Elvis of Boston's online resume as a performance venue.
